THE SOUL OF THE PROJECT
LANDMARK OF THE CENTRE

I am Marina Lemak, a psychologist, Gestalt therapist, supervisor, and a full member of the European Association of Gestalt Therapy. My journey into psychology began in 1989. Next:
- 30 years of psychological practice,
- 20 years of experience as a Gestalt therapist and supervisor in Gestalt therapy.
- 20 years of teaching psychology,
- 10 years of managing the psychological service of Transcarpathia,
- Time to write books and articles as the results of your research (you will see some on our website).
This was the time of the formation of the psychological service of the Transcarpathian region, helping psychologists with their difficulties (I remember the first cases when their lips trembled when they talked about difficult situations in their lives and practice...), conducting about 3000 training hours with psychologists and 1500 therapeutic, educational, supervisory hours with Gestalt therapists. This project is a summary and a beginning. A summary of what has been done and the beginning of your opportunities in dialogue with me and our team.
For my part, I will allow you to take whatever you want and what you find interesting from my bag of experience.
THERE IS NOTHING IN THE WORLD THAT CANNOT BE LEARNED FROM. YOU JUST HAVE TO KNOW HOW TO GET STARTED. - LEWIS CARROLL
OUR CONCEPT
ABOUT THE CENTRE
We are a team that responded to Marina's proposal to create a community that will support those who work with the human soul. You are psychologists, psychotherapists, social workers, doctors - anyone who wants to get professional support and an easy start in their development.
Our hand is always on the pulse of the present, changes, and news. We have created an environment where you will feel cared for and supported - personally (emotionally, intellectually) and professionally. Of course, you can get enough information on the Internet, but how to use it effectively, and where to find those who will be there when you have difficulties - our team will teach you and be there for you.
Our joint work involves providing you with knowledge in connection with practical work and the obligatory support of your supervisor and colleagues. We start with thematic training courses. We organise programmes of 150-200 hours for in-depth study of specific topics, which you can find on this website. In the community, you can take part in group supervision, and practical classes, have a platform for intervention meetings, and receive interesting posts, and information about new research.
We are not alone. We have friends.
We involve partners in our work - experts from Ukraine and abroad - from Austria, the USA, and Sweden.
The joint work began at the beginning of the full-scale war - it was an important volunteer mission. Colleagues from Austria - Nancy Amond-Lyon, Beatrix Wimmer, Heide Unger, from the USA - Perry Kepner, and Susan Gregory - have worked and are working with five support groups for Ukrainian therapists, Czech colleague Genova helped two groups in stabilising the nervous system for our colleagues, Rafael Cortina (USA) is leading a 6-module course on Trauma and Addiction Therapy.
Maryna Lemak conducted lectures and programmes on topical issues of trauma, grief, the emotional sphere of wartime children and life after victory.
Our work is our pleasure, our meaning, our contribution to the development of the nation and humanity, and the path to humanity. And we will walk along it with confidence together.
